Title:
What is FSAStore?
Body:

FSAStore is a Web-based service that allows participants to shop online for thousands of FSA-eligible products. The full-service FSAStore Website provides helpful information about FSAs and product eligibility, along with coupons and promotions to help save participants money.

Title:
How do I get started with FSAStore?
Body:

Click here to access the FSAStore Website now! On the left-hand side of the page, you'll see a menu of items available for purchase through the site. You can also do a quick search for a specific item by entering a search term at the top of the page, or access helpful information through the FSA Learning Center. A 24/7 customer support center is available by dialing the toll-free number listed at the top of the page.

To complete any purchases you make through FSAStore, you will need to register by entering a valid email address and creating a password.

Title:
What does "FSA Eligible" mean? Are all products on the site FSA-eligible?
Body:

"FSA eligible" simply means that, in most cases, the product or service will be covered by your Flexible Spending Account plan. All products on the FSAStore site are FSA-eligible per IIAS standards. If you use your AmeriFlex Convenience Card to pay for your purchase on FSAStore, your FSA transaction will be automatically processed and approved. Note: Although the IRS sets guidelines for FSA programs, individual employers have the final say when it comes to determining what expenses are covered by their FSA programs. Check with your employer if you have any questions about specific guidelines for your FSA plan.

You will notice that some items on FSAStore have a special "Rx" icon indicating that, per healthcare reform legislation, a prescription from a physician will be required in order to purchase the item using FSA funds. See below for more information.

Title:
How do I distinguish products that do require a prescription from products that do not?
Body:

All products on the FSAStore site are clearly marked with one of two icons:

FSA Ok  This red check icon designates items that do not require a prescription.

FSA Rx  This blue Rx icon designates items that do require a prescription in order to be purchased using FSA funds.

If you want to use your FSA debit card to purchase items that require a prescription, you will be required to submit a prescription to FSAStore before your card can be charged and the transaction processed. If you use a regular credit card to purchase prescription items, you will be able to complete your transaction through FSAStore; however, you will need to submit a prescription when you request reimbursement from your FSA.

Don't have a prescription for your OTC items? FSAStore can take care of it for you! Simply select the prescription banner when you are checking out (registration required) and FSAStore will contact your physician to obtain a prescription. If you already have a prescription on hand, you can submit it to FSAStore for processing.

Title:
Why do I need to submit a prescription for over-the-counter items?
Body:

In compliance with new IRS regulations that went into effect following the passage of healthcare reform legislation, all over-the-counter (OTC) medicines and drugs reimbursed from flexible spending accounts (FSA/HRA/HSA) must be accompanied by a prescription. The regulation only applies for OTC medicines and drugs purchased with FSA funds. You do not have to obtain a prescription if you do not plan to use your FSA funds.

Title:
Which over-the-counter items require a prescription?
Body:

OTC items that are "medicines or drugs," with the exception of insulin, require a prescription for reimbursement from your FSA. If you're not sure as to the requirements for a particular item, you can look it up in FSAStore where it will be designated with either a red "check" or blue "Rx" icon depending on whether or not a prescription is required.

Title:
Can I shop even if I don't have an FSA?
Body:

Yes! You can still shop and purchase items through the FSAStore site. FSAStore accepts all major credit cards in addition to FSA debit cards.

Title:
Do I have to submit receipts for my purchases at FSAStore?
Body:

If you do not wish to use your AmeriFlex Convenience Card to complete your FSAStore purchase, you can print off a receipt and mail it to AmeriFlex for reimbursement. You can print copies of your receipts after you make your purchase, or by logging in to your account at any time. Note: Even when your AmeriFlex Convenience Card is used, additional substantiation may be required.
